Liberty E. Moore was born in Duesseldorf, Germany, his father a renowned set-designer. A late starter, he gradually emerged from his father's shadow with increasing confidence, graduating from the Academy for Art and Design at Duesseldorf.
The young Moore entered the world of commercial art, the art of sales - the advertising world. He got to know each section of the creative "elites", from draughtsman up to Group-Head of Art.
In the early 1990s he began to work with acrylics and oil. His style was abstract and he experimented with different materials including metal and plastics. Later he returned to the "placative" style he had used as creative designer. Inspired by the powerful colours and forms of Pop-Art, he created and designed his impressions of the world in pictures of people.
In addition to his Pop-Art paintings and Inspired by some of the greats of pin-up art, such as Alberto Vargas, Al Moore and Mel Ramos, he has demonstrated great feeling and skill for the "pin-up" and erotic genre. He likes women, the aesthetics of their bodies, and agrees with Mel Ramos who declared: "I'm in favour of art that attacks the eye, I love exciting moments"
Moore does not see himself as a philosophical artist, but as a freelance creative. "Art is advertising - advertising is art," says Moore. "People must be attracted to it".
His working methods are both traditional and digital, with acrylics on canvas, airbrush, ad-markers and with his Mac. Experienced in working for agencies and clients he knows exactly what to do with a project after a briefing or with sketches for a customer's idea.
